I want to use this option for reduced latency in my productions as recommended by Ableton, but my sound card doesn't see to want to let me. So, why won't my onboard soundcard allow ASIO4ALL and why is realtek ASIO sound quality so poor. If I select ASIO4ALL v2 I lose sound on headphones and jump back to laptop sound and am unable to select Realtek HD Audio 2nd Output (Realtek(R) Audio to switch to headphone socket. In this mode, I only get sound from the headphones when selecting the Realtek HD Audio 2nd Output (Re Wave) with a very high 92.9 overall latency, which is v poor.ģ.If I select ASIO on Ableton Audio preferences, it jumps to Realtec ASIO with very glitchy and poppy audio with 30.5 msec latency ( adjusting ASIO controls /sample rate makes no difference). I only get sound when selecting MME Direct X driver. However, when I select Realtek HD Audio 2nd Output (Realtek(R) Audio) in my Rekordbox audio preferences, my headphone socket works fine!Ģ.When using Ableton 10 Suite. When I select that, there is no sound in my headphones. Either option takes me to Realtek HD Audio 2nd Output (Realtek(R) Audio). When I plug in my headphones, I get a choice to choose either headphones or headset (don't really know why tbh). When using Rekordbox v.6 and selecting ASIO4ALL audio, I get laptop sound, but not sound to my headphones. I am using my laptop for a lot of music productions and use Rekordbox, Spotify and Ableton Live Suite 10 software, with on-board and external audio interface ( Focusrite Scarlett) I would welcome some advice / tech support on issues I have had using ASIO4ALL and Realtek ASIO on music software:ġ. I have a brand new PCS laptop which I love! However, I am trying to make sense of the on board soundcard configuration and and experiencing a few glitches.
